We are excited to be able to give a sneak preview of our new bridal showroom!
It’s a treasure trove of over 500 designs of tiaras and headpieces (one of the largest collections in Europe) as well as a large selection of gorgeous designer silk wedding dresses.
This fabulous trade showroom allows brides to see the full collections and meet the designer whilst bridal boutiques can browse the stock and discuss bespoke dresses to be designed exclusively for their store away from the usual hustle and bustle of the trade shows.
Today is an exciting and very busy day for the Ivory & Co. team as we are packing everything up at our showroom ready to go up to the Essential Collection to set up…
We’ll be spending a long time setting up our stand ready for the opening of the show on Sunday at Stoneleigh in Warwickshire. We are really looking forward to catching up with our lovely customers who are coming along to the show – and maybe meeting some new ones too.
We will be showing our full collection of wedding dresses including the new 2014 designs as well as the new collections of headdresses and jewellery too. There will be literally hundreds of new sparkly items for bridal shops to browse over and choose from for their brides.
So to any shops planning on coming along – pop over to our stand (no. D5) for a glass of bubbly and a chat – it will be lovely to see you and show you the new creations!
A really exciting day here at the office! – today we have signed all the paperwork for our move to new premises…
Every year Ivory & Co. has been getting bigger and this year we knew that we really needed a lot more room to accommodate the way the business is expanding. So we found an amazing 6000 square foot building located in a beautiful village with a view of the Malvern Hills and knew that this was the place for us!
We’ll be spending the next few months completely refurbishing the building to create a lovely suite of new offices, a dispatch centre and a huge 2500 square foot showroom for brides and our stockists to visit where our entire wedding dress and accessories range will be on display. This will make it one of the largest wedding showrooms in the uk.
Whilst in a beautiful countryside location, it is still only 10 minutes from the nearest motorway junction and has a large car park for our visitors.
We’ll be organising a special opening (hopefully in July if we have got all the work done by then!) so we’ll keep you posted about this event…
So now after all the weeks of legal paperwork I think we’ll need to celebrate tonight – by popping the bubbly after picking up the keys!
Today has been a great day looking through my favourite fabric samples to select the perfect ones for my own wedding dress!
Over the years I have designed so many things to make wedding days special for brides all over the world from tiaras to jewellery, veils and wedding dresses – but now if feels different designing my own.
The fabric samples today have been easy to choose from – I love natural fabrics of silks and silk satins – and I have finally made some last minute alterations to the design of my dress. It’s tempting to create with so many different types of styling as I am influenced by various design themes – but I found my way through to focusing on what are the most important aspects of my dress.
To see some of the design influences that I usually design with – see the pictures below. My own dress design will have to be revealed after the wedding, I have to have some surprises for my groom……
If any brides out there are struggling to decide upon a style of dress and are looking for some direction – I’ll be on hand to help at The National Wedding Shows at the NEC and Olympia in Spring and will also be attending some Designer Days at bridal boutiques that we supply over the coming year – watch this space – we will keep you posted!
