Our designs on hitched!

Dakota Ivory & coJust wanted to let everyone know that our designs are now featured on the wonderful Hitched website!

We are one of the featured bridal gown designers on their wedding dress section and brides can browse through all of our dress designs and see our stockists too. To visit the wedding dress section go to :

As well as our bridal gowns, Hitched have also placed us as a featured designer of tiaras and headpieces in their bridal headwear section. Please see :

Hitched is such a great way for brides to find everything that they need for their big day – in fact it was through Hitched that I found my wedding venue – the wonderful Stanbrook Abbey – so I know firsthand how useful a tool it is.  So we are especially proud to be a part of this great site.

We’ll keep adding more information and images to Hitched, so keep checking as it will be one of the first avenues to see new dress and headpiece designs…

Our Papillon dress featured in Brides magazine!

We were especially excited this month when the latest issue of Brides Magazine arrived with us.  As well as featuring one of our tiaras on their stunning cover shot this month – we also have a dress featured in the special supplement magazine “The Dress” A guide on how to buy the very best one for each bride.

Papillon is one of our favourite designs and Brides chose to feature it in their Trend Alert feature under the lavish luxe section.  This is one of our dresses from the Heritage Collection and is perfect for brides wanting a 1920’s inspired dress as part of the current trend for Great Gatsby style weddings.

Papillon is made form soft silk satin and is hand stitched with Swarovski rhinestones in a gorgeous pattern down the “illusion” back.

For appointments to try this dress please contact us on 01684 564310 to find your nearest stockist…

Amazing Rome!

RomeJust got back from a fabulous 4 days in Rome (the best birthday present ever from my wonderful husband!)

Was expecting it to be nice but had no idea how fantastic a city it is – we spent days exploring the city, seeing all the sights – lots of culture and history to see and all in glorious sunshine…

Decided to give the Sistine Chapel a miss unfortunately as it seemed like we would need to queue for most of a whole day to get in – but we were staying just 100 metres from the Vatican (great view from our room and the roof garden on the top of the hotel) and went to see St. Peter’s basilica instead which was amazing…

Every corner we turned in the city gave a new Piazza, park or monument and not a modern building or skyscraper in sight.

Now I’m back at the office catching up with everything that’s been going on with Ivory & Co. whilst I’ve been away… with all new enthusiasm – especially for lots of new Romantic dress designs in my head (couldn’t stop thinking of the perfect dresses for getting married in stunning Italy while I was there:)

I would recommend Rome to anyone – it’s the best city break – and if you like nice food it’s just great… check out this meal from our last night there!!

Most successful White Gallery ever!

We have just returned from the busiest few days that we have ever known at the wonderful White Gallery trade show in London.

A huge thank you to all of our lovely stockists who came along to order and see our new collections and to the new stores who decided to become an Ivory & Co stockist.  It was really lovely to catch up with everyone and we were overwhelmed by the response to the new headpieces, jewellery and dress designs.  We will be hard at work in the next few weeks to fulfil the mountain of orders taken at the show and to make sure that everyone has these new designs as quickly as possible.

It was fantastic to also see our dress designs on the catwalk in the designer preview show on Sunday and Monday.  The dresses looked fabulous on the models and there was such a fantastic vibe with the perfect music to accompany the styles and the press flashing away to get pics for the new season.  Brides magazine have already uploaded video of our dresses on the runway on twitter! to view click Brides video 1 and Brides video 2.

We would also like to say a very big thank you to the loyal Ivory & Co. staff who worked so hard with us in London.  They were tireless in their efforts to help everyone who came onto our stand and we are especially grateful to those who came along on short notice to help out.

See you all again next year x
